I’ve worn a few hats — hard hat included. After high school, I traded Texas heat for Alaska’s freeze, swapped snow for salt air in Hawaii, and eventually wandered back to Texas 27 years later with a toolbox, a few certifications, and plenty of stories that explain my sense of humor.
From Steel to Sanity
I started out as a welder, moved into steel detailing, then found myself behind a computer as a CAD jockey. One day I was covered in welding dust, the next I was managing projects and writing the specs, proposals, and structural narratives that kept entire builds on track. It was equal parts engineering and chaos management — and I loved it. Those years taught me how to see problems before they start and how to bring order to moving parts (a skill that comes in handy with homes and humans).
Brains, Behavior & a Big Why
Neat Freaks really started when my oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD at six. I didn’t want to “fix” him — I wanted to understand him. That kicked off more than a decade of studying human behavior and neuroscience, no degree required, just a mom on a mission. Along the way, I started connecting my own dots — the kind no one talked about when I was growing up in the ’70s and ’80s. Coaching certifications turned all that curiosity into clarity: how people think, process, and thrive when their environment supports them.
Cleaning With Purpose
Cleaning became the bridge between what I’d learned and how I live. It grounds me, calms my mind, and gives me the same sense of order I help my clients find. What started as structure and habit turned into peace and focus — for me, for families, for anyone trying to breathe a little easier in their own space.
The holidays have their own kind of chaos, and the TaskRabbit calendar only shows a two-week window — not exactly ideal for planning December and beyond.
To make sure my regulars and early planners get the dates they need, I open seasonal bookings through my Calendly calendar from now through the end of February.
If you’re scheduling for holiday gatherings, religious celebrations, New Year’s parties, or Valentine’s prep, this is the easiest way to lock in your spot early. Once you’ve booked through Calendly, I’ll add your appointment to my TaskRabbit schedule so it’s officially held and ready to go.
